Rae Bareli, Feb 13 (PTI) Charging the BSP government in the state with putting hurdles in development, Congress star campaigner Priyanka Gandhi today asked the electorate in Uttar Pradesh to vote for her party to facilitate all round growth. "Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi wanted to do a lot for you but the state government had created hurdles...in other states central schemes like MNREGS are being run smoothly but in UP it was not implemented properly," Priyanka said at an election meeting in Janai area of Bachrawan Vidhan Sabha seat. The state can progress fast with a Congress government both at the centre and state, she said. Seeking votes for party candidate Raja Ram Tyagi, Priyanka said that during the non-Congress governments corruption and crime increased while development was neglected as a result of which Uttar Pradesh has lagged behind other states. Urging voters to make a wise decision and vote for their own and their children's future, Gandhi asserted that she is here to alert them to look at their interest or else they would again face betrayal for the next five years. Your children need schools, better employment opportunities and it is only the Congress which can work for their future, she said.
