US students in holy city

Amritsar, Mar 31 (PTI) A 15-member team of students from America today visited the Khalsa College of Education here to have first-hand knowledge of Punjabi culture and its history. The students from Northfield Mount Hermon School, Western Massachusetts, showed keen interest in the history of Punjab and religious harmony of the Punjabi society. Led by their teachers Laurie Brian and Lara Freeman, the students are on a tour of India from March 25 to April five. They have already visited Delhi, Agra and other cities. The students, who had paid obeisance at the Golden Temple here, are likely to leave for Dehradun tomorrow. Teachers at the Khalsa College apprised them about the Sikh religion and its teachings.
