Coimbatore, Feb 11 (PTI) The tender for construction of a new building in the government hospital here would be finalised on Feb 16 and works to upgrade the facility would start soon, Tamil Nadu Agriculture Minister, S Damodaran said today. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has sanctioned Rs 50 crore for the upgradation of the hospital to bring it on a par with private hospitals in infrastructure and other medical facilities, Damodaran said while inaugurating the Rs 50 lakh building for Eye Surgical ward in the hospital. Jayalalithaa has also sanctioned Rs one crore for construction of a college for music in the city, he said. PTI NVM ARP
