Ghaziabad, Feb 20 (PTI) The Uttar Pradesh Animal Husbandry Department has ordered an investigation into the allegation of a veterinary doctor here who has lodged a police complaint of molestation and physical abuse against a senior officer. "A probe has been ordered into the alleged physical assault of a woman veterinary doctor posted in Bhojpur," Animal Husbandry Department (Meerut division) deputy director Rajesh Singh said. The doctor, working in Bhojpur Veterinary Centre, on February 16 had lodged a complaint of molestation and physical abuse against deputy chief medical officer Mahender Pratap Singh. She alleged Singh had molested her in his Modinagar office, where she had gone for discussing some matters related to vaccines, and banged her head on the wall when she refused to oblige. The doctor also lodged a complaint to Mahila Ayog and SC and ST Commission in this regard. Singh had, however, denied all the charges and said the woman wanted some favours from him and when he refused she began making such claims.
