Two injured in explosion in factory

Dhenkanal (Odisha), Dec 24 (PTI) Two persons, including an engineer, were seriously injured in an explosion of a carbide tank in a private factory at Gundichapada near here today, officials said. The duo identified as Susant Kumar Aich and Saheed Khan sustained burn injuries in their ear, hand and chest and were shifted to SCB Medical College Hospital at Cuttack. The factory produces industrial gas and oxygen for industrial use. Dhenkanal Superintendent of Police, Manoranjan Mohanty, said the reason behind the incident was being ascertained and an inquiry was on. PTI COR SKN PR ASY
