TN only state to give incentives to school students: Minister

Dharmapuri (TN), Feb 11 (PTI) Tamil Nadu is the only State in India that is giving incentives to school students to continue their educational journey without any hurdle, Higher Education Minister P Palaniyappan said here today. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has been concentrating on the future of school students, especially those in tenth and 12th standards, he said. The minister also appealed to the students to avail all the schemes that are implemented by the Government to continue their educational journey. The minister, who inaugurated a special health checkup camp for the differently-abled at Adhiyaman Government Higher Secondary School here, said the Chief Minister has launched many welfare measures to protect their health and promote their status. To provide sound health to the differently abled, special health check up camps would be conducted at eight places in the district, he added.
