Coimbatore, Aug 10 (PTI) A ten-day-old elephant calf, which was washed ashore recently at a river bank and rescued by forest department officials at Valparai in the district, died today, forest officials said. The calf was found struggling on the Kurangumudi river bank on August 2 and was rescued from near drowning by forest department officials.
