Raipur, Jul 25 (PTI) Chhattisgarh Government today transferred 17 IAS officers, including Sukma District Collector Alex Paul Menon, who was abducted by Naxals in April this year, official sources said here. Menon, a 2006 batch IAS officer, has been posted as Deputy Secretary (Housing and Environment) in the state capital. He has also been appointed officiating Chief Executive Officer of Raipur Development Authority, they said. Soon after Menon was released by Maoists on May 3 after nearly two weeks of captivity, there was speculation that the 32-year-old officer will be moved out of the newly formed district, of which he was the first Collector. P Dayanand, Commissioner of Municipal Corporation of Rajnandgaon, will replace Menon. Those transferred include 11 District Collectors. Ashok Kumar Agarwal, CEO of Raipur Development Authority, has been transferred as Collector of Rajnandgaon district, the sources said. Raipur Collector Rohit Yadav will take over as the new Director of Urban Administration. Siddharth Komal Pardeshi, Rajnandgaon District Collector, has been shifted to Raipur in same capacity.
