Salem (TN), Feb 11 (PTI) Citing huge expenditure incurred on day-to-day maintenance charges, the administration of the Tamil Nadu-Central Governments funded superspeciality hospital here has proposed to levy Rs 200 per inpatient per day and Rs five per outpatient. Stating this today, Dean of the hospital Dr Vallinayagam told reporters that a proposal to this effect had been sent to the goverment for approval. The five-floor fully airconditioned hospital built at a cost of Rs 139 crore as a centre-state joint venture on the lines of All-India Medical Sciences Institute in Delhi was inaugurated during the DMK regime in 2010.
