Rupee up 9 paise against dollar in early trade
Mumbai, Feb 6 (PTI) The rupee moved up by 9 paise to trade at 48.60 against the dollar on the Interbank Foreign Exchange market in early trade today on increased foreign fund inflows. Dealers said increased foreign funds inflows and euro's gains against the US currency in the overseas market supported the rupee. The rupee had closed 46 paise higher at over three-month high of 48.69/70 against the US currency on Friday on continued dollar selling by exporters. Meanwhile, the 30-share BSE Sensex shot up by 218.01 points, or 1.24 per cent, to 17,822.97 in early trade today.
