The state has intituted a one-man judicial commission headed by Justice P C Phukan to inquire into the incidents, Kumar Deepak Das (AJP), Birender Prasad Baishya (AGP), D Raja (CPM), Dharmendra Pradhan (BJP), Tarun Vijay (BJP), Bhubeneswar Kalita (Cong) and Pankaj Bora (Cong) sought clarifications from the minister.
