Rs 1.52 lakh siphoned off from bank account

Chamba (HP), Feb 2 (PTI) An amount of Rs 1.52 lakh was siphoned off by an unidentified person from the bank account of a resident of Banikhet by hacking his debit card through online banking, police said here today. A case under relevant sections of the IT Act was registered at the Dalhousie Police Station on the complaint of Nitin Puri, a resident of nearby NHPC colony Banikhet, DSP Raman Sharma said.
