Railways seek report on man run over twice by train in Agra

New Delhi, Feb 9 (PTI) Railways today sought a report from its Agra division over a tragic incident in which a person was run over twice by speeding trains there on Monday. Minister of State for Railways K H Muniyappa said he has sought a report from DRM Agra about the incident. The person was identified as Jayprakash, 55, residing close to Agra. "He was reportedly in an inebraited state," said the spokesperson of Agra division of railways. Railway sources said the person was trying to cross the track between Agra Cantonment and Raja Ki Mandi station when he came under the wheels of a speeding train. He remained conscious despite the hit and struggled with pain right in the middle of the track. The locals, who had gathered by then, offered little help to him, leaving him bleeding. The man lay there when a second train ran over him minutes later. He later succumed to his injuries.
