Protests against 'V-Day' celebrations in Indore

Indore, Feb 14 (PTI) BJP and Bhartiya Sindhu Sabha (BSS) conducted peaceful protests against the Valentine's Day celebrations here today. Opposing the V-Day celebrations, the BSS activists, led by its general secretary J P Moolchandani, gathered at Rajbara chowk here, carrying anti-Valentine's Day posters and banners and urging youths to celebrate this day as 'Mata-pita pujan diwas' (mother-father day). Members of the district unit of BJP gathered at Regal Circle here, distributing pamphlets against the celebrations. Congress workers of Rajiv Vikas Kendra distributed rose flowers to kids asking them to observe this day as 'communal harmony and brotherhood day', its general secretary Devendra Singh Yadav said. No untoward incident was registered in the city, police said.
