Bikaner, Feb 20 (PTI) Angry villagers today pelted stones on police personnel alleging that a dalit youth had gone missing after he was detained by cops, who denied the charge. Demanding immediate steps to trace Kishan Lal, who villagers claimed was detained by police on Friday night along with his brother Naurang, scores of people staged a protest outside police chowky in Chatargarh area and pelted stones on police. Police, however, rejected the allegation that the missing boy was detained by police. They said that only Naurang was arrested on Friday night after he was found roaming in suspicious circumstances and was released on bail on Saturday. The father of the missing boy alleged that his two sons were detained by police on Friday night. After one was released on bail the next day, he inquired about the second boy but the police claimed that he was not detained. A senior police official said that the matter was being probed.
