Pranab arrives to rousing reception in Kolkata

Kolkata, Jun 22 (PTI) UPA's presidential candidate Pranab Mukherjee arrived here tonight to a rousing reception by thousands of slogan-shouting Congress workers. Mukherjee, who was escorted to a platform by his party workers and leaders after his arrival at NSCBI airport from Delhi, waved at them and seemed overwhelmed by the large turnout. West Bengal Irrigation Minister Manas Bhuinya was among others who garlanded Mukherjee. Mukherjeee will stay the night at his Dhakuria residence and leave for his ancestral house at Kirnahar in Birbhhum district where he will meet his elder sister Annapurna Devi tomorrow afternoon.
