New Delhi, Feb 16 (PTI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will address an election rally in Kanpur, his first in Uttar Pradesh assembly poll. Singh will begin his campaign from Motijheel grounds hoping that like the previous two elections, the city will once again prove lucky for the party like it did in the Lok Sabha elections of 2004 and 2009. Kanpur is also the industrial hub of UP and a major centre of revenue-generation. The industrial city also has a sizable Sikh population. There are 10 Congress candidates in the district. Barely a hour after the PM's rally, BSP supremo Mayawati is scheduled to address a meeting in the city.
