Pawar reviews NCP performance in Maharashtra civic polls

New Delhi, Feb 20 (PTI) With civic polls in Maharashtra throwing up mixed results for the NCP, party chief Sharad Pawar today met senior leaders to review the election performance. Pawar took a detail review of the NCP's performace at meeting attended by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, senior party leaders Chhagan Bhujbal, Jayant Patil, Madhukar Pichad, Sunil Tatkare among others, party sources said. Though the NCP, which contested some civic body polls in alliance with the Congress, emerged as the party winning maximum seats in district councils, it failed to wrest the prestigious Mumbai and Thane civic corporations from the Shiv Sena-BJP combine.
