No place in Mumbai for monsoon shelters, HC told

Mumbai, Jun 22 (PTI) The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) today informed the Bombay high court that there were no places in Mumbai to set up shelters for the homeless during the rains. The court was hearing a PIL filed by Homeless Collective, an NGO, on this issue. The NGO has demanded that some kind of shelter homes be provided during the monsoon. The court has now directed the NGO to provide a list of places in the city, where, in latter's opinion, such shelters can be set up.
