Kasargod (Ker), Jan 31 (PTI) In the backdrop of the controversy over the removal of Kannur MP K Sudhakaran's flex board at Kannur, Union Minister of State for Home, Mullapally Ramachandran, today said "no one" needed to question his loyalty to the Congress party. "No one needs to question my loyalty to Congress party. I was born a Congressman, continue to be a Congressman and I will be a Congressman," Ramachandran said on the sidelines of a function at nearby Neeleswaram. Ramachandran had praised the Kannur Superintendent of Police. Anoop Kuruvila John, under whose orders the flex board hailing Sudhakaran was removed, describing him as an "upright and honest official". Sudhakaran had told reporters at Kochi yesterday that Ramachandran's response was "untimely". Police Association officials had put up the flex board hailing Sudhakaran for sanctioning Rs 10 lakh from his constituency development fund for constructing a swimming pool at the Armed Police Battalion camp at Mangattuparambu in Kannur district a few days ago. The board was ordered to be removed by the Kannur SP on Republic Day. Six police personnel who are district functionaries of the Kerala police Association have been placed under suspension in connection with the poster row.
