New Delhi, Feb 13 (PTI) The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) today sought a report from Delhi Government on reports that a minor boy was sent away by doctors of a city hospital after first aid without taking out a bullet lodged in his head. Taking suo motu cognisance of media reports, the Commission asked the Health Secretary of Delhi Government and Superintendent of Dr Hedgewar Aarogya Sansthan Hospital to submit the report within four weeks. It was alleged that Nakul Bhargava was sent away by the doctors in the hospital after first aid without taking out a bullet lodged in his head. "Bhargava, after the first aid at Dr. Hedgewar Hospital had to spend an agonising night in pain before his parents took him to a private hospital the next day where he was operated upon and the bullet was successfully removed," the Commission said quoting reports. While issuing notices, it observed that the contents of the press report, if true, raise a serious issue of violation of right to health of the child.
