New trains to be flagged off in eastern India

Bhubaneswar, Feb 16 (PTI) As announced in the last Railway Budget, the Railways would introduce at least three new trains passing through many areas of the East Coast Railways (ECoR) from tomorrow. The new trains are Digha-Puri-Digha weekly Express, Digha-Visakhapatnam-Digha weekly Express and Kharagpur- Villupuram-Kharagpur weekly express, ECoR sources said today. The 22878/22877 Puri-Digha-Puri Express which would commence its regular journey from Puri on February 22 and from Digha on February 23 would be flagged off from Digha and run as a special train to open first timers towards Puri. The regular service of 22874/22873 Visakhapatnam- Digha-Visakhapatnam Weekly Express would start from Visakhapatnam from February 23 and Digha from February 24. It would be inaugurated at Ramnagar station and run towards Visakhapatnam in the opening journey, they said. Similarly, the 22604/22603 Villupuram-Kharagpur- Villupuram Weekly Superfast Express would leave Villupuram on every Monday from February 20 and arrive at Kharagpur the next day on regular basis and on return journey would leave Kharagpur on every Wednesday February 22 and arrive at Villupuram the following day. It would start from Kharagpur station on the inaugural journey and run as a special train. The 22878/22877 Puri-Digha-Puri Express train has one AC-2 tier, one AC-3 tier, five sleeper class coaches, three general Second Class Coaches and Two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its composition having stoppages at Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jajpur-Keonjhar Road, Bhadrak, Balasore, Jaleswar, Kharagpur, Panskura, Tamluk and Kanthi between Puri and Digha. The 22874/22873 Visakhapatnam-Digha-Visakhapatnam Weekly Superfast Express has One AC-2 tier, One AC-3 tier, Six Sleeper Class Coaches, Six General Second Class Coaches and Two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its composition having stoppages at Vizianagaram, Palasa, Brahmapur, Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jajpur-Keonjhar Road, Bhadrak, Balasore, Jaleswar, Kharagpur, Panskura, Tamluk and Kanthi between Visakhapatnam and Digha, sources said. Similarly, the 22604/22603 Villupuram-Kharagpur- Villupuram Weekly Superfast Express with One AC-2 tier, One AC-3 tier, Six Sleeper Class Coaches, Six General Second Class Coaches and Two Guard cum Luggage Vans in its composition has stoppages at Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Brahmapur, Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jajpur-Keonjhar Road, Balasore and Belda between Villupuram and Kharagpur.
