Hamirpur (UP), Feb 15 (PTI) Samajwadi Party Supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav today said he was open to supporting the Congress Party in Uttar Pradesh if needed even as he claimed that the SP will form the next government in the state. "There is a wave in favour of SP, which is going to form the next government in the state...if needed we can support Congress", Yadav said addressing an election meeting here. He asked party workers to ensure that voters go to the booth to cast their votes. He also asked them to propagate ideologies of the party and inform people about what SP could do for them, if voted to power. In an obvious reference to the opposition attack on SP that hooliganism was on the rise in its regime, Yadav said that all the goonda elements and mafias would be brought to book. "My government will ensure that mafia and goondas go behind the bars", he said.
