New Delhi, Feb 15 (PTI) In a bid to streamline policing in the capital, Delhi's Lt Governor Tejinder Khanna today announced the reorganisation of city police by forming a new range taking the total number to four and assigning new duties to officers. Now, the Capital's police will have four ranges -- South Eastern Range, South Western Range, Central Range and Northern Range. The area of South Eastern Range will be South East District, East District and North East District while the area of South Western Range will be South District, South West District and West District. Central Range will consist of New Delhi District, Central District and North District and the Northern Range will consist of North West District and Outer District. Joint Commissioner P Kamraj will head South Eastern Range on transfer from Jt CP (New Delhi) while Joint CP Taj Hasan will be in charge of central range. Hasan was in charge of PM (Security). Another Joint Commissioner R S Krishnia has been posted Jt. CP Northern Range while Vivek Gogia on promotion has been posted as Jt CP of South Western Range. T N Mohan has been posted as Jt CP General Administration on transfer from Jt CP Planning and Implementation while N Dilip Kumar has been posted as Jt CP Planning and Implementation on transfer from Jt CP Vigilance. Arvind Deep has been posted as Jt CP Security-PM. Alok Verma will be the new Special Commissioner in charge of Intelligence while Aditya Arya will head the Armed Police in the same rank. Amulya Patnaik will be the new Special Commissioner in charge of Vigilance while S N Srivastava will be in charge of Training. Sudhir Yadav is the new Special Commissioner for Traffic.
