Chandigarh/New Delhi, Sept 8 (PTI) Alchemist Group Founder Chairman K D Singh today stepped down from all his positions, saying he will now concentrate more on his political role. "K D Singh, the founder chairman of Alchemist group, has resigned from all positions in the corporate world, including his position as Chairman and Managing Director, from the listed company namely Alchemist Limited," a statement from Chandigarh-based Alchemist Group said. K D Singh has passed on the baton of his business empire to his son Karan Deep Singh by appointing him as non-Executive Chairman of the group. Group company Alchemist Ltd is listed on BSE and National Stock Exchange. The Group has presence in hospitals, pharma, food processing, real estate, infrastructure and tea estates. Singh was elected to Rajya Sabha in 2010 and represents Trinamool Congress in the Upper House of Parliament.
