Jailer, 4 others booked for taking money from visitors

Kishanganj, June 30 (PTI) An FIR was today filed at Town police station against the jailer and four others on charge of taking money from visitors of the divisional jail in Bihar's Kishanganj district to allow the visitors meet their kin, official sources said. The Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Siyaram Singh lodged the FIR against jailer Bhim Hembrum, assistant jailers Ajay Pratap Singh and Ashok Singh, besides constable Jitendra Kumar and homeguard jawan Sunil Kumar Yadav on charge of taking money from the visitors for meeting their jailed kin, the sources said. A detailed report has been submitted to the IG (jail) for necessary action in this regard, they said. The FIR against the jailer and four others were lodged a day after Yadav was arrested for taking money from the visitors to allow them meet their kin lodged in the division jail.
