Haryana to continue giving cotton on reduced rate till Jul 31

Chandigarh, Jun 18 (PTI) The Haryana government today decided to continue to charge both market fee and Haryana Rural Development Fund on cotton at a reduced rate of 0.8 per cent till July 31. A decision to approve the proposal has been taken in view of the request made to this effect by Haryana Cotton Ginners Association, an official spokesman said here today. He said that even earlier the government had reduced these rates from two per cent to 0.8 per cent on ad-valorem basis up to May 31, 2012 on the request of the association.
