Phagwara (Punjab), Feb 6 (PTI) Police today unearthed a four-member gang of alleged mobile tower battery thieves and recovered 10 batteries and a four-wheeler from their possession here. The batteries were stolen from a tower at nearby Hadiabad sub-town. The four-wheeler was used for loading the stolen batteries. Satnampura SHO Karnail Singh said those arrested included Jaswinder Singh alias Bittu, Harjinder Singh alias Nikku, both of Bariahan, Phagwara, Surinder Singh alias Billu of local Ankhi Nagar and Som Nath alias Sonu of local Palahigate localities. They were produced before Judicial magistrate who remanded them into one-day police custody. Police expect more revelations during interrogation of the thieves.
