New Delhi, Jan 9 (PTI) Veteran painter Kashmiri Khosa, is now delving into Indian scriptures for inspiration and has based his recent body of work on the ancient spiritual text. The Dharamshala-based painter organised an exhibition of his paintings "Mind and Mountains" here recently based on the concept of beyond time and space. "Nature itself answers the queries of human beings existence in this universe," says the artist who began his career in 1962 and went into the deep studies of Upanishads to add a different flavor to his canvas. "If Monalisa had a smile on her face 'Kalachakra' travels through the life span of a human being. It is like one human being is born and other is dead and vice-versa," says the artist who is exhibiting works he had done over a 10-year period of time. An artist has a different perception of the world he lives, says Khosa who loves to see the world around him as gatherings of "sound vibrations". This world is nothing but a mere vibration of consciousness in space according to the artist who says he attempts to gather the entire world as a collection of "vibrations of sound." Working primarily in oil and acrylic, the 70-odd works at the show has been titled as "Beyond sorrow", "Mindscape", "Reminsces", "Elated", "Purush- Prakriti aur Virath", "Introspection" and so on.
