New Delhi, Feb 11 (PTI) The much-awaited Fly music festival, which aimed to bring together 13 international bands including metal groups Anthrax and Limp Bizkit, has been cancelled. The festival, launched by Percept Live and scheduled to be held simultaneously in Bangalore and Delhi on February 16 and 17, has been scrapped due to unforeseen circumstances. "We managed to create a never before seen international line up... However, an initiative of this magnitude had its challenges that required time and consideration, which we sadly underestimated. "Due to the extremely tight timelines between our announcement and the actual event, FLY Music Festival could not garner the reach and hype that an event of this stature required for successful execution. In addition the unseasonal rains in Delhi have caused delay in the massive production required," said Percept Live CEO Manuj Agarwal in a statement. "We have approximately 200 people from various bands flying in from across the globe for FLY Music festival and we cannot take a chance of them not being able to perform in a conducive environment... We promise to reschedule FLY Music Festival," he added. Some of the performers who were lined up included The Wailers (Original band of Bob Marley) & Ray Manzarek & Robby Krieger of The Doors, KT Tunstall, The Dhol Foundation, Deap Valley, Dub Pistols, The Cuban Brothers, Kittty Daisy & Lewis and Nervecell. All ticket holders who booked their tickets via Book My Show or Kya Zoonga will be contacted immediately for a full refund, the statement said. PTI BB BB
