Madhepura (Bihar), Feb 17 (PTI) An FIR was registered today against the husband of a minister of Bihar for allegedly beating up some Mahadalit women at Piprakaaroti panchayat in Uda Kushunganj police station of Bihar's Madhepura district. The FIR was registered against ruling JD(U) state General Secretary Vijay Kumar Singh, husband of Bihar Minister for Disaster Management Renu Kumari. The women belonging to Mahadalit community lodged the case against a village head Chhotelal Poddar and the bodyguards of the minister for allegedly beating the women, sources said. According to the FIR, the flood-hit women belonging to Mahadalit community had gone to meet Singh at a guest house at Udakishunganj for rehabilitation.
