Indore, Oct 22 (PTI) Hundreds of farmers today held protests against the ruling BJP government in Madhya Pradesh over its alleged failure in addressing their issues, a press statement said. The protests, which were held at Depalpur, 30 kms from here, were led by local Congress MLA Satyanarayan Patel, to demand uninterrupted power supply and adequate supply of fertilisers for farmers. Holding placards and banners, the protestors shouted anti-BJP slogans at Silawat circle. While addressing the rallyn later, Patel alleged that the state government has failed in providing power supply to farmers beyond four hours daily. "Partisan attitude, short supply and poor quality of fertilisers to farmers during the Rabi crop season are some of the problems that every farmer is facing. Then there are issues of blackmarketing and hoarding of fertilisers by traders," he said. Several other former elected representatives were also present during the rally. PTI GG NP
