Dehra Dun, May 25 (PTI) There was no respite from the scorching heat for people in Dehradun, with the mercury rising to 41.4 degree Celsius, the hottest day temperature recorded in the last eight years. The maximum temperature of the day in Dehradun was recorded at 41.4 degree Celsius, which is the highest in this season so far, said Met Director Anand Sharma, adding that the temperature is 6 degree above normal. This was also the highest temperature recorded in May since 2004 when it sizzled at 41.6 degree C, Sharma said. Meanwhile, the heat wave conditions forced the people to stay indoors and the Met department has predicted that the current weather conditions are likely to continue for a few more days.
