Kollam (Kerala), Feb 21 (PTI) A court here today permitted police to search the Italian ship Enrica Lexie to seize the arms allegedly used by the two onboard naval guards to shoot and kill two Indian fishermen. Judicial magistrate Dony Thomas issued the order on a petition filed by SP Daniel Christie to enable the investigators to enter the ship, anchored off the Kochi port, and seize the murder weapons. Valentine Jalastine and Ajeesh Binki were shot dead allegedly by marines on the ship on February 15 off Kollam coast. The arrested marines, Latore Massimiliano and Salvatore Gironi, were yesterday sent to police custody for three days after being remanded in judicial custody for 14 days by a court here.
