Jammu, Mar 30 (PTI) A conglomeration of several community organisations today demanded a CBI probe into alleged temple land grabbing in Kashmir Valley and accused the Jammu and Kashmir government of shielding the guilty. "We demand a thorough CBI probe into the selling and land grabbing of Vaital Bhairav temple and other shrines in Kashmir Valley," All Party Migrants Coordination Committee (APMCC) Chairman Vinod Pandit told reporters here. He said an APMCC team visited the Vaital Bhairav temple premises and found that land was sold on an attorney allegedly issued by Dharmarth Trust to a local person. He said the temple having a long history was worshipped by thousands of residents of Rainawari and was safe even during Pathan rule under Governor Dilawar Khan. The APMCC Chairman appealed to all Kashmiri Pandits to support the cause and join a protest here on April 2.
