Amritsar, Feb 12 (PTI) A probe has been ordered by customs authorities after one of its personnel posted at Wagah border alleged that a BSF officer had insulted him in full public view, official sources said today. Customs Head Constable Sampuran Singh has alleged that the BSF inspector had recently publicly humiliated him near the joint check post at the international border. Following the incident, Singh reported the matter to his seniors. When contacted, Assistant Customs Commissioner R K Duggal said a high level probe has been ordered to ascertain the facts of the complaint filed by Singh. He, however, played down the incident, saying the issue was sorted out quickly. According to the head constable's complaint, the BSF inspector used to wilfully interfere in the working of Customs and other officials at the border. On the day of incident, the BSF officer raised objection to Singh's presence near the check post, whereupon the latter apprised him that he was there with the due orders of his seniors. Following this, the fuming BSF personnel allegedly hurled abuses at Singh. Singh has also raised the issue with the Customs Employees Union.
