BJP asks govt to take all possible actions to protect Indians

abroad New Delhi, Feb 11 (PTI) In the backdrop of the stabbing of an Indian student in the United Kingdom on Friday, BJP today asked the government to take all possible actions to safeguard the lives and interests of Indians living abroad. "All Indians who are staying abroad, their safety and well-being should be a concern of the union government. This has been oft repeated in and outside Parliament," BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said here today. "The government should keep a watch over any such incident and ask the country's Ambassadors to take appropriate steps if any unpleasant incident happens," Naqvi said when asked for his reaction to the attack on an Indian student in London on Friday. Eleven people have been arrested by the Scotland Yard. following the stabbing of the Indian student.
