Berhampur (Odisha), Feb 7 (PTI) One of the accused in the murder of C Nayak, a local BJD leader at Haripur in Ganjam district, was today arrested. "Manoj Swain, one of the main accused in the murder case was arrested from a jungle near Gochhabadi in Badagada police limit during the raids by the police," Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Aska B K Kamila said. Nayak, the representative of the Aska MP Nityanand Pradhan in Dharakote block was allegedly murdered by his political rival following a dispute over place for pasting campaigning posters in the ongoing three tier panchayat poll in the village on Sunday afternoon. Dhoba Nayak, brother of the deceased had lodged FIR before the police naming at least 15 persons in connection with the murder. The BJD supporters blocked road for the second day today demanding immediate arrest of the culprits.
