Bikaner, Feb 20 (PTI) Protesting against the CBI for summoning the mother of jailed Congress MLA Malkhan Singh in the Bhanwari Devi case for interrogation, Akhil Bharatiya Bishnoi Mahasabha today said it was "unfair" on the part of the agency to interrogate the 80-year-old woman. "Summoning of elderly Amri Devi for questioning in Jodhpur was quite unfair and the community will not tolerate this functioning of the CBI," Mahasabha's spokesperson Darshan Singh said. Raising questions over the functioning of CBI in the case, he said the community leaders will work out a strategy to protest against the agency's move. Amri Devi, the wife of late Ramsingh Bishnoi, who was a prominent leader of Bishnoi community, alleged that despite the old age and ill-health, she was subjected to intense interrogation and inappropriate treatment by the CBI. Bhanwari, 36, had gone missing from Jodhpur's Bilara area on September 1. During the CBI probe, it was found that she was allegedly abducted and killed and her body burnt at Jaloda. Her remains and belongings were later dumped in the Rajiv Gandhi Lift Canal, which were recovered by the CBI. PTI Corr SDA AGL
