Nashik, Feb 14 (PTI) Hitting out at the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) and its chief Raj Thackeray, state PWD minister Chhagan Bhujbal has alleged that many of the MNS members had faced externment. Bhujbal's criticism came following several charges made by Thackray yesterday while addressing a rally in Nashik. Thackeray had lashed out at Bhujbal saying that he was responsible for the growing crime rate in the city and also said that the externment orders of several criminals had been cancelled at Bhujbal's behest. Commenting on Thackeray's allegation that Bhujbal had a link with Abdul Karim Telgi, the prime accused in multi-stamp paper scam, the minister said, Telgi had been released sixteen times during the BJP rule. "But when I was the Home Minister of the state, he was arrested," he said. Bhujbal also said that he wondered why the MNS chief was always interested in big cities like Pune, Nashik and not interested in the rural parts or in farmers. "While he was in Shiv Sena, Raj had shown interest in Mumbai. But his demand was turned down by the Sena chief, which is why he lef the Shiv Sena to form his own party," Bhujbal said.
