Jaipur, Jun 14 (PTI) Joining the chorus for reservation for minorities, Ajmer Dargah religious head Zainul Abedin Ali Khan today asked all political parties to clear their stand on the issue. "Muslims are under-represented in central services and reservation for them would benefit the community," he said. However, the Constitution does not allow reservation on the basis of religion and reservation to Muslims is not possible unless an amendment in Constitution is made, Khan said in a statement here. He said either the present reservation system be abolished and quota be given only to economically backward people irrespective of caste and community, or necessary amendments should be made in the Constitution to give religion-based quota for uplifting of minorities. "Political leadership of the country should clear their stand over the issue," he said.
