Lakhimpur (UP), Feb 16 (PTI) An accountant of a primary health centre was found dead in the staff quarters in Pasagawan area, police said here today. The body of 52-year-old Mahendra Sharma was found lying in a pool of blood with severe injuries on his head and face at the Pasgawan health centre last evening, they said. Sharma was reportedly missing since February 7. Family members of the accountant have accused health department officials of harassing Sharma. According to Mithilesh Sharma, the wife of the deceased, frequent transfers of her husband had depressed him. She also accused health officials of withholding his salary. She alleged that after solemnising their daughter's marriage on November 21 last, when he reported for duty in Pasagawan, he was told that he had once again been transferred.
