Phulbani(Odisha), Dec 7 (PTI) A day after 165 students of a government run "sevashram" school left the hostel in Odisha's Rayagada district, 83 inmates of another school in Kandhamal district also left their hostels without any notice. The 83 students belonged to Daringbadi Girls High School, a residential High School run by Tribal and Rural Welfare department. The girls left their hostel on Tuesday morning. District Welfare Officer (DWO) Paramananda Pursti said the students neither reached their home nor they have returned to hostel till this evening. "Probably they are hiding in the jungle," he said. The students, all girls, allegedly left the hostel after head mistress Junarani Pradhan punished them for a minor mistake, sources said. The students had earlier accused the school authorities of not providing them good food and essential items for daily use, said one of the parents. This is the 8th time in Kandhamal district when the students ran away from the state run schools after alleging misbehaviour and bad food.
