8 bogies of Durg-Puri express derail

Bhubaneswar, Feb 13 (PTI) At least eight bogies of the Durg-Puri Express jumped off the track between Nuapada-Lakhna in Bolangir district tonight, railway sources said. "The derailment of the train took place at about 9 pm. We are yet to get details of the damages caused by the accident," East Coast Railways (ECoR) Chief Public Relations Officer R N Mohapatra told PTI. The incident took place in the Titlagarh-Raipur section of East Coast Railway Zone, he said. Stating that a rescue team had rushed to the accident site, Mohapatra said the driver of the train informed the headquarters about the incident.
