7 killed in road accidents

Nahan (HP), Feb 9 (PTI) Seven persons, including a woman, were killed on the spot while two injured in two separate road accidents in Sirmaur district since yesterday. All the five occupants of a pickup jeep, including a woman, were killed when the vehicle in which they were travelling fell into a gorge near Katyad Khud in Haripur Dhar area, about 125km from here today. The deceased, who had taken a lift in the vehicle on its way from Ballad to Bhalona village, were identified as Virendra (22), Vikki (22), Varinder Kumar (55) Arun Kumar (26) and Samta Devi (30). In another accident, two persons were killed and as many injured when a tractor loaded with cement bags overturned at Motiwala village near here on Nahan-Kolanwala Bhood road last night. The deceased were identified as Lalit Kumar (22), a resident of Kanyari village and Pritam Singh (38). PTI CORR PCL
