Ranchi, Feb 10 (PTI) Jharkhand High court today granted bail to 37 former government officials and suppliers, who were convicted in two cases of the fodder scam by special CBI courts. The bench of Justice R R Prasad granted the bail after the petitioners moved the High Court praying that they had already spent more than half of their prison sentence in jail and should be granted bail. The 37, who comprise former government officials and suppliers, were convicted by special courts in RC 35 and RC 62 cases of the fodder scam. However, most of them were also convicted in other fodder scam cases. So far, 41 of the 53 fodder scam cases ended in conviction in the special courts, with most of the accused being convicted in several cases. PTI PVR NN
