3 youths drown in sea in Karnataka

Sirsi (Karnataka), Jul 6 (PTI) Three persons drowned in sea in two different incidents in Kumta taluk today, police said. 19-year old Yogesh, an engineering student from Hubli, drowned in Kudle Beach in Gokarna while Lohit and Sunny of Kumta were swept away by the waves in the sea near Vannalli, they said. Ironically, Yogesh and nine of his friends had first attempted to enter the sea off Om Beach, but police prevented them in view of rough conditions. They then reached Kudle beach.
