Jammu, Nov 29 (PTI) The Jammu and Kashmir government today announced winter vacations in all government institutions in Kashmir valley and winter zones of Jammu region from December 1. The institutions include recognized private schools, up to higher secondary level falling in Kashmir division and winter zones of Jammu division, an official spokesman said. Schools up to middle standard shall observe winter break for three months from December 1 to February 29, 2012, the spokesman said. For high and higher secondary schools, the vacations will start from December 12. Any default by private schools in observance of the calendar of vacations shall attract action under rules, the spokesman said.
