2 Kingfisher flights cancelled

Kolkata, Feb 17 (PTI) Two Kingfisher flights could not take off after passengers, angry over services of the airline staff, disembarked and held demonstration at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport here this evening While the flight to Bhubaneshwar was cancelled, the one to Mumbai also could not take off at its scheduled time (8:00 PM), airport sources said. The Bhubaneshwar flight was scheduled to take off at 7:30 PM, they said. Earlier, Kingfisher employees at the airport took out a procession alleging that they had not been paid their salaries for two months. The employees claimed that they had heard that the airline's counter at the airport would be closed from February 20 and feared that they would not be paid their salaries. Kingfisher Airlines operates seven flights daily from the NSC Bose airport here.
