10 get life term for murder

Sasaram (Bihar), Feb 15 (PTI) A local court today sentenced 10 persons to life in connection with a murder in Bihar's Rohtas district in 1996. Fast Track Court IV judge Amresh Kumar Tiwari found the 10 guilty of killing Lalan Singh at village Garuda under Chandauli police station on October 7, 1996 and awarded life-term to them. The court also slapped a fine of Rs five thousand on each of the convicts. Lalan Singh was killed following a dispute over a trivial issue. The convicts are Dinanath Singh, Baidyanath Singh, Arvind Singh, Ashok Kumar Singh, Ramnath Singh, Nirmal Kumar, Manoj Kumar, Mundrika Singh, Rajnath Singh and Mohan Singh. PTI Cor AJK NN
